Description
The wine Baron de Chirrel arises in 1986 as a result of an experimental elaboration from a selection of grape of very old vineyards, between 80 and 110 years old, of very low performance and great quality. Of the results of this test is born that will be a precursor of those who could be called, Wines of the new Rioja Era.
This wine is produced very limited in just The large vintages, where the character of the vineyard, soil and variety, within a harmonic set are expressed. From the 1995 harvest, Riscal manually selects grapes for this great wine with the installation of selection tables.
Elaboration:
The Baron de Chirrel wine performs fermentation to a Controlled temperature of 26th, in Tubes of Wood of Allier small capacity. Next makes the malolactic fermentation in allier, fine grain oak barrels. The aging in barrel will last between 18 and 24 months, depending on the characteristics of each vintage. Once this is finished, the wine is bottled, passing a tuning period not less than 2 years before going on the market.
Tasting note:
Nice Red Picora, from High and dark coat. Powerful aromatic intensity, where the toasted and spicy provided by oak Allier stand out. Confit black fruits. In the palate it is fresh and creamy, soft and elegant tannins, with a end and balanced end.
