Numanthia 2011 75 cl.
Bodega NumanthiaBodega Numanthia elaborates this aged red wine in the D.O. Toro (España) with tempranillo grapes.
Description
Numanthia is the signature of the winery, recognized as a reference within the wines of the D.O. Toro. Numanthia style comes from a meticulous selection of grapes of Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) of 50 and 100 years old vineyards, and without irrigation. Year after year, low yields produce grapes with strong fruit concentration and an exceptional structure.
Aging in French French oak barrel for 18 months, Numathia has intense and complex aromas. Ripe and fresh fruit notes, especially figs and strawberries, accompanied by aromas of pastry cream. In the nose, there are light balsamic touches perfectly assembled with spices such as black pepper, as well as notes of tobacco leaf and tiramisu. An intense, powerful and vigorous wine, of great structure. A fruity expression accompanied by sweet and mature tannins forms a smeared sensation marked in the mouth. The end is very long and persistent, with spite and cocoa notes.
