Elaboration:

Viña Pomal is characterized by a rather traditional vinification: after destemming and crushing, a moderately long maceration takes place and, after alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wines are racked and clarified to transfer them to barrels. The wine spends 18 months in American oak barrels, 20% new. After passing through the barrel, the wine will remain in the bottle for at least two years before being released on the market as a "Reserve".

Tasting notes:

Intense and elegant aroma. Floral notes and red fruits that are nuanced with sweet spices (vanilla) and roasted. Persistent, with the balance of the great Riojas.
