Gran Reserva 904 from La Rioja Alta comes from the Tempranillo grape varieties by 89% and Graciano by 11%. After a harvest classified as 'Excellent' by the qualifying body, this great red wine reserva benefited from a favorable climate that helped the good work of the harvest. The grapes were collected in boxes and transported in refrigerated trucks to preserve their integrity. Then he fermented for 17 days. From here, the selected batches completed the malolactic fermentation for 75 days and subsequently the chosen wines were aged in American oak barrels of their own manufacture where they remained for 4 years. Once here, during aging they were racked eight times by the traditional method. The Guia Peñín rated this red wine with 96 points and Tim Atkin with 95.
With an intense reddish cherry color, Gran Reserva 904 is complex on the nose. With notes of red fruits, spices and liquorice. Its entry into the mouth is elegant, with an exquisite balance. The finish is long and with slight citrus touches. An ideal wine for the most special celebrations.
