Description
Pago de los Capellanes Roble 2022 is a single varietal wine made from Tempranillo. The grapes come from vineyards with an average age of 25 years old, selected in the municipalities of Pedrosa de Duero, La Horra and Gumiel del Mercado. This red wine is aged for 5 months in 300-litre French oak barrels. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks where density and temperature are controlled twice a day. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation begins at a controlled low temperature with periodic stirring.
Tasting notes: Cheerful, fresh and very aromatic, fleshy, with subtle tannins and vibrant acidity. Its colour is similar to cherry red. The nose is fruity, with a hint of flowers and a background of French oak. On the palate is where its elegant and fresh structure stands out, with a very aromatic finish.
It is recommended to serve at 14ºC.

About Bodega Pago de los Capellanes
The Rodero Villa Family heads two projects, from two territories with two native grape varieties.
The star of Pago de los Capellanes in Ribera del Duero is the Tempranillo grape (or Tinta Fina as they call it there). Its extreme climate of great contrasts, calcareous soils and good field work make it possible to produce wines with elegance, based on the traditional viticulture of the area.
In Valdeorras, in O Luar Do Sil, the godello grape reigns, elaborated in three different styles that seek to accentuate varied nuances in terms of structure and potential.
