Pintia 2017 Magnum 1,5LBodegas y Viñedos Pintia
About the vintage:
During aging, the percentage of new barrels was reduced to 5% American oak, giving more importance to lighter roasts. Also, malolactic fermentation in barrels was reduced by 10%. The objective, to make a Pintia as elegant as possible, taking into account the characteristics of this warm vintage. As a final result, Pintia 2017 has a juicier, sweeter balance, achieving harmony and silkiness.
Cold maceration is carried out for 5 days before fermentation, in oak wood vats. Malolactic fermentation takes place in 100% wood and aging in French and American oak for 12 months.
These are wines of great intensity of color and depth, red cherry tone with cardinal trim. The nose is broad, very clean, expressive and elegant, with great fruit intensity, wrapped in a subtle and high-quality wood. On the palate it offers great structure, good tannic presence and a very pleasant, fresh and persistent palate. Floral memories in retronasal.

About Bodegas y Viñedos Pintia
Pintia is located on the banks of the Duero River, within the D.O. Toro (Castilla y León, Spain). The climatic conditions of extreme cold in winter and heat in summer influence its complex soils, whose main characteristic is the large number of boulders.
It is the independent character of the Vega Sicilia family. Pintia was born with a young, intense and groundbreaking spirit.
