The distillery Glenrothes had complicated beginnings when it was launched in 1879. James Stuart, the founder of the distillery was left without investors to build the mill that had to supply water but the local Reverend got funds so that The town had work. Since then, the identity halls of James Stuart have been applied to Speyside of Glenrothes: wood and time. With these two essential elements he wanted to get a whiskey lighter and fruity than his region companions. And he got it. Glenrothes Robur Reserve is a very special whiskey that is created from oak barrels from different parts of the world. In its aging, American and European oak barrels are used. The result is a spectacular and balanced whiskey that provides typical characteristics such as fruity, spicy and sweet flavors.
