Castelo Medina Verdejo is the banner of Castelo de Medina wineries. A white wine elaborated with 100% green grapes, the main cultivated variety of the D.O. Rueda.
Elaboration:
Fermentation is carried out with Autochonal yeasts in stainless steel tanks, at controlled temperature, after several Hours of cold maceration and a static manager. The wine has a bottle aging of around 2 months.
Tasting note:
Aromas of sliced, nesting, fennel, hay and apple. In the mouth is spacious, powerful, fresh and very balanced. In retronasal it is very persistent, with a large body and a long aftertaste.
Pairing:
Ideal wine to accompany the appetizer, blue fish (such as trout, salmon, or tuna ) Seafood or poultry.

Castelo de Medina is located in Villaverde de Medina (Valladolid), the heart of the Rueda Denomination of Origin, an area with great recognition for its white wines. The winery began its journey on November 28, 1995, since then it has been growing steadily until today following tradition and good work. Using more and more modern technological equipment, such as temperature controlled tanks, French and American oak barrels or concrete tanks.
Currently, Bodegas Castelo de Medina is in a new stage of evolution and development of an ambitious project led by the Bonet Ferrer family, with extensive experience and a strong link to the wine world.
