The La Rioja Alta S.A. Group was born in 1850, when five Rioja and Basque families founded the "La Rioja Alta Wine Society" in the Barrio de la Estación in Haro (Rioja). Since then, numerous awards and recognitions have been received by the winery and its products. Among them, the 4th place in the "Best Wines of the World" list of the prestigious Wine Spectator magazine or being the only winery with two of its wines in Decanter's "Wines of the Year".
