Organic products are those that are made respecting the territory and its biodiversity. The processes are controlled both in the vineyard and in the winery, so all the products that are used as vine or field treatments (pesticides or fertilizers), sulfur and other correctors are limited.
There are many ecological certificates, but the most used in the Spanish products is the EU Organic Logo, granted
by the European Union following Regulation (EC) 834/2007 and 889/2008. This seal indicates that 95% of the ingredients are organic, do not contain Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), no chemicals have been used in crops and biodiversity has been respected by following sustainable practices with the environment.
Vegan wines are indicated with the V-Label seal, an internationally recognized and registered symbol for the labeling of vegan and vegetarian products and services.
Many wonder: "But if it's made from grapes, is all wine vegan?" The answer is no. For the production of some wines, ingredients from animal origin, especially in
the clarification process. Some of them can be egg albumin, casein (derived from milk), ichthyocolla (fish) and gelatin (cartilage).
