The name of the winery refers to the Leonese council in which the patriarch of the Álvarez family, owners of Tempos Vega Sicilia at that time, was born, it is located just 15 kilometers from the mother house of Vega Sicilia and in a very similar situation, between the course of the Duero and the road from Valladolid to Soria, in the vicinity of the wine capital of Ribera, Peñafiel.

The Tempos Vega Sicilia group is made up of: Vega Sicilia, Alión, Pintia, Macán and Oremus.

Alión was born in Ribera del Duero as the "little brother" of Vega Sicilia, but now he is able to fly on his own and demonstrate the virtues of terroir, climate and variety typical of this denomination of origin.

Alión is a super elegant wine, born with the aim of representing the Ribera del Duero in the best possible way.
