González ByassGonzález Byass elaborates this generous wine in the D.O. Jerez-Xéres-Sherry (España) with palomino fino grapes.
Description
Elaboration
Del Duque is a VORS amontillado with an average of 3 years in American oak barrels following the traditional system of criaderas and solera. Its tradition, over three hundred years old, began with 16 barrels bought from the Duke of Medinaceli in 1835.
The VORS category distinguishes those wines whose certified aging exceeds 30 years in criaderas. Their prolonged aging gives them exceptional organoleptic characteristics that make them true oenological jewels highly valued by lovers of the best Sherry.
Tasting notes:
It shows a dark golden color due to the extended time spent in the boot. On the nose sharp aromas of time spent under the "flor" veil and nuts such as nutmeg from Palomino grape. Dry and powerful, well structured and with a long finish.
Pairing:
Serve slightly cold in a small glass of white wine to fully appreciate the bouquet of aromas. Del Duque is a wine to meditate or enjoy with powerful dishes such as seafood, rice or game dishes.
