Nomad Outland is a whisky born and aged in Scotland and then refined in Jerez. In Scotland it is imbued with the purity of the Scottish Highlands where it matures before leaving for southern Spain. Nomad Outland is a blended whisky made from 30 varieties of grain malt whiskies from the Speyside region. These whiskies are aged between five and eight years in oloroso butts for the last three. The blend then travels to Jerez where it is refined for a minimum of 12 months in casks freshly casked with Pedro Ximénez in the San Fernando cellar at González Byass.
TASTING NOTES:
Nomad has a very personal aroma, notes of malt and hints of wood and sherry. In the mouth it is very smooth and elegant. The sensations of sultanas, honey and an unmistakable bouquet due to its refining in sherry casks that contained Pedro Ximénez stand out. The finish is long and pleasant, with notes of vanilla and dried raisins. A very elegant whisky with a deep aftertaste.
