Ballantine's was born in 1827 and has been one of the world's best-known whisky brands ever since. In addition to its blended whisky as the distillery's flagship, they are now launching Ballantine's 10 American Barrel which stands out for being another blended whisky but with an American oak finish. This blended scotch whisky spends ten years ageing in American oak casks, which gives it a spicy character, with hints of vanilla and toffee-like sweetness. Innovating and combining the two worlds of Scotch and American whisky has been the aim of the distillery and the result is more than satisfactory.
