Since 1880 the Family Mari Mayans is dedicated to the research of aromatic plants in the area of Ibiza and Formentera. Many years of studies, knowledge and review of the orography of the islands to develop a world-famous product: Herbs Ibizas Mari Mayans. Juan Mari Mayans, the precursor of the liquor, frequently traveled to Barcelona to supply the island of utensils of those who did not have. Thus he knew the secrets of the still and the manufacture of alcoholic beverages. This Herbal Liquor is done fully handmade but taking advantage of the progress provided by technology. The product passes through four different phases: distillation, where the properties of the copper still plants are extracted for 18 hours; boiling, where aromatic plants are introduced into boilers; infusion, with an immersion of botanists that are allowed to stand; and maceration, where plants are incorporated according to their aroma for a time between 15 days and month and a half. An herbal liquor that can be drinked in chupitos or taking advantage of cocktails.
