Benriach The Smoky Ten Single Malt 70 cl.
BenriachBenriach Distillery elaborates this single malt scotch whisky in Speyside (Scotland). Format of 70 cl.
Description
In the early 1970s, Benriach broke convention in Speyside by re-distilling batches of whisky in the old 19th century style, using malted barley smoked with Highland peat. This Highland peat, rich in wood, brings distinctly sweet and smoky notes to Benriach's peated whiskies. Benriach The Smoky Ten is made from a combination of peated and peat-free whisky and aged in three casks for at least ten years. A combination of bourbon casks, Jamaican rum casks and toasted virgin oak. The whiskey is then expertly blended to create sublimely smooth layers of ripe fruit, aromatic smoke and toasty oak spice, lingering in a perfectly balanced sweet and smoky finish.
TASTING NOTES:
Color: Bright gold.
Nose: Ripe country fruit syrup, smoky honey glaze and oak spice.
Flavor: Smoky apple wood, maple honey and spiced pear finishing with lingering fruit and smoky oak.
An explosion of flavors with a rich smoky level.
