ELABORATION:
Cultivated on terraces exposed to the south and protected by the flanks of the mountain range. Loamy soils with a high caliche content, deep and poor in organic matter. The grapes are harvested at the end of September, destemmed without crushing them. Made in truncated cone-shaped stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature with periodic movement of the mass using the fermentation gases.
Malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks, followed by ageing in American and French oak barrels. Subsequent racking and slight filtration before ageing in the bottle. Unclarified.
TASTING NOTES:
Elegant and daring at the same time, a high Rioja elevated to its maximum expression. Dark cherry red in colour with a ruby rim, it stands out for its depth and slow tears. Expressive and intense on the nose with a wide range of red fruits, plum, blackberry and cranberry framed in an elegant frame of subtle notes of noble wood, vanilla, cinnamon, cedar, caramel and toast.
On the palate it is balanced with a freshness and pleasant, velvety tannins that give it a broad structure and a fresh, delicate passage, leaving a long, fruity aftertaste.
