It was aged for 15 months in new French oak barrels (Taransaud, Sylvain, Settos) and 3 years in bottle.
Great attraction in its intense garnet color with brown tones. The nose is subtle; surprising and complex with aromas of red fruits that combines perfectly with aromas of leather, vanilla and chocolate and leaves a very long passage of mouth. All this makes Essència a very elegant and perfumed wine that transmits a feeling of fullness in the mouth.
The wine production of Alkimia Wines is very limited and exclusive, in this way the team headed by Jordi Rotllan makes sure to be able to offer wines of the highest quality that are pampered throughout the production process down to the last detail.
The philosophy of Alkimia Wines is one of maximum respect for the environment. The winery is very aware of totally ecological vineyard work and winery work in which great wines are obtained without having to add chemical products. They have the CCPAE certificate (Catalan Council of Ecological Agricultural Production), the European BIO food certificate, they practice biodynamics by adapting the work in the vineyard to the lunar cycles and they are vegan since no animal originated product such as egg albumin is added. Even their buildings are sustainable since they try to use materials and construction techniques with less environmental impact, rainwater is recovered with a deposit, energy consumption depends on natural sources (solar and wind energy).
